David Huss, Executive Producer
David is the founder of Kestral Productions. He formed the theater company because David is passionate about The Stage from both sides, in front of the footlights, and watching others bring the magic of the Bard’s words to life.
He directed Kestral Productions inaugural production of Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Julius Caesar in Spring 2026 at New Prospect Theatre.
David got his start in high school drama class. Having performed extensively over the years in community and regional theater, David was most recently seen as Charlemagne in Little Lemon Productions’ Pippin (Aug. 2026), and as Robert Shaw in The Shark Is Broken (Sept. 2025), both at New Prospect Theatre.
Lorraine Wilde, Producer
Although Lorraine didn’t dive into community theatre and local film acting and production until she was in her 40s, she’s gained over 15 years experience. A woman of many hats, Lorraine was drawn to theatre as an adult improv student at the Upfront Theatre in 2008, where she became a member of the Satellite Ensemble. She most recently appeared as The Soothsayer in Kestral Productions Spring 2026 presentation of Shakespeare’s The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. Lorraine has also done more iDiOm 48-Hour Theatre Festivals than she can count and loved her Serial Killers experience there.
Lorraine has also acted and crewed a variety of short films, commercials, and promotional and educational videos. She holds a master’s degree from Western Washington University.

Kestral Productions Theatre Company

Kestral Productions was founded by David Huss and Lorraine Wilde in Bellingham, WA in 2025. Their debut production, Shakespeare's The Tragedy of Julius Caesar with an all-woman cast, was a suggestion by David's late wife, Nancy Duncan Huss, who passed in early 2025. The show run, and the naming of Kestral Productions, are in her honor.
Because theatre is a collaborative art, Kestral's mission is to bring vibrant, captivating, local theatre to the community by uniting creative talents, skills, and enthusiasm in every production.
